Anne Steele represents the Tasmania Committee philosophy, reflecting and upholding the purpose and principles towards which we strive as a Tasmanian community.

Anne Steele from Lindisfarne has fundraised with exceptional results for the fight against children's cancer during her 2007 campaign to swim the English Channel.

Anne's fundraising efforts are phenomenal with the amount raised exceeding $350,000.

Anne reached the pinnacle of marathon swimming by completing the 18 nautical mile crossing of the English Channel, becoming the first Tasmanian woman to do so.
