The Tasmania Committee Inc.

The Tasmania Committee was formally established in 2002 by a group of community and business leaders to build the level of confidence and optimism in the Tasmania.

There are now more than 1000 members and the committee is run by a board of directors made up of seven community and business leaders.

The Purpose

Tasmania Love This Place – advancing the sense of community and promoting confidence in our place.

The Principles

• We are free and independent of any political, religious or racial influence or persuasion.
• We believe in cohesion and harmony in Tasmania, for its land and its people.
• We honour achievements that benefit all Tasmanians.

Membership

The founding members adopted the above objectives and are now inviting other dedicated Tasmanians to join with them. Current members may invite positive thinking residents of Tasmania or former residents of Tasmania to join the Tasmania Committee by asking them to sign the membership obligation form agreeing to uphold the ideals described upon it.

Membership fees

Membership is $25.00 AUD.

Projects

• Marketing campaigns to enable our objectives to reach the general population, "Tasmania... Love this Place"
• Motivational guest speakers for meetings and functions.
• Encourage leaders in the community to remain optimistic and positive about Tasmania both directly, by networking and through the media.
• TV Shows called Love this Place.
