Lindy O'Neill, President
Lindy moved to Tasmania from Victoria in 2005 where she worked primarily in the disability field. She has 30 years experience in disability management which has embraced all aspects of the industry including institutions, community, government and non government organisations. She has also successfully run her own small business. Lindy holds several directorships, including Disability Professionals Tasmania (president), Disability Professionals Australia (Steering committee and founding member) and Lord’s Taverners Tasmania. Lindy is a member of Hobart Rotary, sponsors 2 children through World Vision and is currently studying journalism. Her passions include good food and wine, live music, theatre and the arts.
Eric Mobbs, Vice President

Coming to Tasmania in 1999, Eric established his own Bookkeeping and computer
business in Devonport, having run a similar business in Sydney for 8 years.
Frank McGregor, Secretary
Manager Government Business Australia Post
Frank works in the Commercial arm of Australia Post specialising in the
Government port folio. He is a founding Board member of the Tasmania Committee
and also sits on the state board of Crimestoppers and the Tasmanian Olympic and
Paralympic Committees. Frank is an ex West Australian who has also lived in
Victoria but keeps coming back to Tasmania because of its unique quality's and
beauty. Frank is also a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute.
Alan Gray, Treasurer
Alan is a small business owner, specialising in Association Audits. His
business is located at 28 Brushy Creek Road, Lenah Valley. Alan is a Fellow and
past Director of The National Institute of Accountants, he is a Registered Tax
Agent and has served on other boards including the ASIC Advisory Board. Alan has
over 25 Years of Business experience and has been involved with, The Tasmania
Committee, Retail Traders Association, Australian American Association,
Tasmanian Conservation Trust, Hazelwood School Council, and The Festival of
Dreams. 6 Years RAAF 25 Years Tax Agent. Now plays Lawn Bowls.
Tim Quinn Board Member
Business Sales Manager Australia Post
Tim has spent over 25 years in sales and marketing management and has successfully managed a number of major projects and events in NSW and Tasmania. He is a founding member of the Wrest Point Tower Club and, the newly formed Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Direct Marketing Association of which he is Chairman and member of the National Board. Tim holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work and is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute where he holds the qualification of Certified Practicing Marketer.
John Baily, Board Member
Born in Hobart and educated at The Friends School, John has been involved in a broad range of business activities throughout his career.
John is the Tasmania Committee Northern member on the Board.
John is a partner in Island Encounters, an advertising and promotions company, largely focused on the Tourism Industry. He is the owner of Baily Investments.
His former years were in the fashion industry and he was a pioneer manufacturer’s agent wholesaling blank tee shirts and sweat shirts. After this business was sold he then diversified to growing oysters & mussels. Ten years on he sold that business to his son. He joined Vecon P/L in Devonport & formed Vecon NE Asia with Peter Gillham, exporting onions and carrots to South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong & China.
John then moved to Launceston & established the award winning Metro Backpackers which was sadly burned in December 2004.
Recently he retired from the Boards of Launceston Chamber of Commerce, City Prom and the Defence Reserves Support Council.
Ben Kearney, Board Member
Ben Kearney is one of two North West representatives on the Board. A resident of Turners Beach and Executive Officer of the Tasmanian Newsagents Association, Ben a former successful bakery owner and artist was awarded the 2005 Tasmanian of the Year for his huge individual campaign to improve and protect his environment by ridding it of plastic bags.
Ben's efforts not only put Coles Bay on the international map as the first place in Australia to ban plastic bags, he started a national public awareness campaign about the harmful environmental effects of plastic bags so that Ben's influence can be seen in shops and supermarkets in cities and country towns across the nation.

Chris Guesdon, General Manager
Chris has spent 35 years in marketing management, holding senior positions in a
wide variety of business sectors including retail, telecommunications, commerce,
sport, tourism and hallmark events. Chris is a Fellow of the Australian
Marketing Institute, where he holds the qualification of Certified Practicing
Marketer (CPM) and has held the positions of Tasmanian State President,
Australian Board Member and Australian Vice President. In recognition of his
outstanding contributions to the world of swimming, Chris was inducted into the
International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1996, and in 2000 was awarded the
Australian Sports Medal by the Commonwealth of Australia. He is the Channel
Swimming Association International Representative for Australia
